Pr. Mathias Audit has been appointed by the French Government—following a rigorous selection process—to serve as a conciliator on the Panel of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) for a six-year term.
Under Article 34 of the ICSID Convention, conciliation is a dispute resolution process whereby conciliators are called upon to “clarify the issues in dispute between the parties and endeavour to bring about agreement between them upon mutually acceptable terms.”
Pr. Mathias Audit is grateful to the French Government for this vote of confidence. His appointment reflects his recognized expertise in international law.
